the runway

the runway is inspired through the true story of the south american pilot who had a bumpy landing near mallow, co. cork in 1983. towards all odds, the men and women in the town came collectively to build a runway to obtain him house and briefly caught the imagination on the nation. it s the story of paco, a younger boy without the need of a father who adopts the pilot and convinces the town to create a runway to acquire him property.
